2013 World Invitational Town Crier Tournament:
July 26 to August 5, 2013

Oyez! Oyez!

The 2013 World Invitational Town Crier tournament will take place July 26 - August 5, 2013 in Canada!  The invitational competition will commence in Kingston, Ontario - Canada's First Capital and culminate in Ottawa, Ontario - Canada's current Nation's Capital.  It will truly be a Battle of the Capitals!

The Battle of the Capitals will showcase the UNESCO World Heritage Designated Rideau Canal in conjunction with The Rideau Canal Festival, a fun-filled 4-day celebration of this important landmark waterway which connects these two significant cities.  All along The Rideau Canal, crier celebrations will be coordinated with communities to share in the excitement and pageantry of these world championships. 

In addition, 2012 - 2014 marks a historic milestone celebration of 200 years of peace between Canada and the United States.  The Alliance for the Bicentennial of the Battle of 1812 is working in partnership with the Battle of the Capitals to celebrate peace, partnerships and our rich cultural history.
